End October on a High Note: Must-Attend Events in Chico

As October comes to a close, Chico has a lineup of events that promise to make the end of the month truly memorable. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a parent looking for family-friendly activities, or someone who simply loves the Halloween season, there's something for everyone.

First on the list is Chalk on the Block, taking place on Saturday, October 28th, from 10 AM to 5 PM at Downtown Plaza. This free event invites artists, families, and children to come together and create sidewalk art. Chalk will be provided, but participants are also welcome to bring their own. It's a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community through art and creativity.

Next, we have the Chico Marketplace Pumpkin Decorating & Children's Costume Contest on Thursday, October 28th. The event offers two sessions, one from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM and another from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. For just $10 per family or party of 5, you'll get three pumpkins to decorate and the chance to participate in a children's costume contest. Beetlejuice & Lydia characters will be present to add to the festivities.

Last but not least, Treat Street in Downtown Chico offers a safe and fun Halloween adventure for children 12 and under. While the date and time are yet to be confirmed, the event promises activities, entertainment, and treats from over 80 Downtown businesses. Magician Kris Bentz will also be there to add a touch of magic to the occasion.
